Carrier-specific quirks

  • Part 121 regional flying E145s as United Express, domiciles EWR and IAD.
  • Single flight deck jumpseat; no aft FA jumpseat available.
  • Unlimited jumpseaters on Part 121 flights.
  • OAL pilots and dispatchers are processed for a cabin seat first, then the flight deck if the cabin is full; OAL priority is first come, first served within the boarding category.
  • No alcohol in the cabin.
  • Introduce yourself to the Captain at boarding regardless of seat.
  • EWR C-130 hardstand gates: the crew never enters the terminal on turns, so make sure the gate agent tells ops you are requesting the jumpseat or the Captain will not know you are there.
  • No international cockpit jumpseat.
  • Policy last updated 6/11/2020.
